First a little bit about me; im a 22 year old university graduate living in Carlisle, I've always been a big music fan and enjoy talking about it and sharing it. So i thought I would start this blog to share the music I like. Bare with me on the design for a couple of days, I'll sort it out when i have a bit of time.
Anyway first post, first artist of the week. I'm going to try and make this a regular thing (I guess the title implies weekly) but I may miss the odd week at some point.
SBTRKT is starting to get a decent bit of play on the radio, but he's been around for a while, hiding behind his mask and remixing the likes of MIA and Basement Jaxx. I'm not really sure about his remixes, but his album came out on June 27th, and I cant stop listening to it. I really like how he has managed to make music between genres to make an album which is diverse, but still sounds like the same artist, I'm also a big fan of the vocals he's brought in on a couple of the tracks below. I've heard a couple of people describe him as this decades Timberland, personally, I think his sound is fresher and better, and he hasn't taken his name from a shoe....
